Ch- Ch- Ch - Changes

NOTE-* If you know me, and know how weird I am and expressive...please channel your inner Nicole while you read this..uhm, kinda gory(?) post. if you cannot handle to think of vomit..please leave now! Sppaanks!*

I have noticed a lot recently in the changes to my Mommy-to-Be body, other than feeling charge of course!

bluhhh. (yep thats worse than a sigh)

I wont lie, when I first found out I was pregnant..I was terrified.
and as I speak to friends whom have had or are having kids.. they made it sound so ...Blissful.

Blissful my tooshy!

I threw up, every morning..EVERY.SINGLE.MORNING.
Weather it was just from sleeping in too long and not getting any food (yeah, fun)
to smelling something in the fridge when I tried to go get some food in my queasy stomach.
-Am I making you want to be pregnant or WHAT!?-
Smells were the worst for me, except being in the car..yeah, Even driving myself to work.. that LONNGGG 30 minute commute I make felt like such a drag.
" sorry boss, Im late because I got car sick." How lame.

-Cigarettes, smelling the smoke on people , around people while they're smoking or even just a house or car that had the stale smell in it, GAG.
-Food, anything that wasn't at the time french fries, pretty much made me sick. When we first found out I was pregnant, Adam made an amazing dinner.. I sat down at the table after feeling sick and worried I was having the start of a miscarriage and as I tried to take a bite.. I had to push the plate away. "sorry babe, looks amazing..but I can't handle it."
-Gas, Dog gas..people Gas..BLAHK.
-Coffee, yes.. I work with, around,in,all over, under COFFEE.. walking into the store was just a death pit.
HOWEVER, the smell of Chocolate and Coffee making me sick was my first clue that I was pregnant!

There was nothing I could do, drink, eat to make myself feel less nauseous ..except..just to let it out. I almost felt like I had a routine in the mornings LOL. (TMI? Eh who cares)

Yes, it gets better. Well, Im lucky it got better.. I heard some stories of women who have morning sickness their ENTIRE pregnancy! Insane.

How ever, My morning sickness faded into every other day.. then once a week..then nothing. Oh a beautiful nothingness.
That was about the time I started bloating up, My Ribs hurt like someone was pulling on them..they hurt to the point where it was almost hard to breathe or stand.
On top of the ribcage explosion feeling, I had horrible back pain. So early in my pregnancy? How was this possible?

Oh, and i found it quiet odd that every night at 3am, 315am or 320am I would wake up and have to pee like a race horse. "dont drink so much before bed" they all said.. yeahh I feel like a fish out of water. Im ALWAYS thirsty! Always. someone once told me I can't have water on the floor( aka work.) Yes..Its a Health code violation, But Ill violate your face if you dont let me have my water! RUUUUUddee.(bon Qui Qui)

Now that I am 26 weeks, large and in charge with a basketball of a belly.. Im starting to feel the nausea again (thanks Son) as well and swollen heels oy vey. and yep.. the rib cage pain is back and beautiful.
I have noticed my hair has started to thicken, No complaints there! Its all long and lush full now LOL..oh yeah..and Oily. WHAT? Same with my skin. I have my "glow" but add some shine to that sucker.

I want to let y'all know however, I have found that Once a week (no need for more unless you're just nasty greasy, homeless slobb.) Add some Epsom salt to your palmful of shampoo. scrub that salty goodness through your locks and enjoy some soft non greasy Hurr for almost 2 days!

I also add a bit to my face wash while scrubbing my nose and cheeks..problem areas mostly. DO NOT put it near your eyes! lets not be dumb..salt, eyes...they just don't mix! I warned you! :)  "You're Welcome" - That was my Sadie voice.. High fives for watching Awkward!

one of the BEST changes, is feeling my son treat my insides like his Ninja cage. especially while Im trying to sleep!
Easy fix for calming him down, Have my Husband put his hand on my big O Belly. My son is Daddy shy right now.. yep, he stops all movement. poor Adam, Last night he started to tell Baby Joseph "c'mon kid kick me!" mehehe lets see if he says that when Joseph is 2! little Soccer Ninja Baby.

Body pillows are a must, and if you are lucky..your husband will try to steal it and elbow you in the eye for it every.single.night.  Love you Hunny! :P

well, thats all that Ive got for now. My Son is kicking my insides and Im getting a nice Pasta craving.
mmm with parmesan cheese and corn!

annnd Im out Girl Scout!

Night Y'all

Fingers Crossed

Well, Happy Monday Y'all!

Im enjoying the quiet evening at our current Casa.. except for 4 dogs pondering back and fourth through the kitchen. Other than that, Two Boys are working and One aka my Nerdy Hubby is at his Monday Night Bowling League! Yes, Adam is and always has been a Bowler. This is some serious stuff people! LOL.

As for me tonight- Im blogging, Pinning and face booking.. I have finished organizing the our File system once again and now I am enjoying a nice bowl of Heartburn! If I even LOOK at food I get heart burn. HA! Oh the joys of Pregnancy!

If you have been stalking my Facebook page, You will probably have noticed a very ecstatic post I made about a letter that came in the mail.
OHHH Snail mail. To our surprise that special letter arrived way before we thought it would! No complaints here of course!
This pretty little letter that is filed away, is the ONE thing that was holding us back on becoming HOME OWNERS!
YEP! Adam and I have not only gotten MARRIED in the past few months, But as you know we have started our own family and NOW..We will be purchasing our first home!
I mean, why just go big when you can go HUGE! (uhh, does that make sense?)

Grand Island, Ne.. ah Yes. A town made of 50,000+ people. only ONE Starbucks (but TWO Wal-marts?) This shall be the town that Adam and I (baby Joseph too) call "Home". Even though my Home will always be in TEXAS... I stand by my husband and his crazy choices, I mean..what a brave man to choose ME. LOL. We may not spend the next 50 years here.. But I know we will be here for at least 5. Renting is NOT an option for us.
First of all, rentals here do NOT allow any kind of pets. You see, thats a problem.. I come from a very PET  addicted  Loving family! :) That is why I have 3 dogs and currently were looking after our M.I.L's dog. sooo 4 pups total.

This week, while Adam is off working hard, I will be taking a full day to finish up with the bank and meet with our Realtor! I am so very nervous/anxious/excited that we get this opportunity..I mean Buying a HOME is a BIG deal y'all!
it's very rare that Homes here stay on the market for long.. so lets Hope/Pray/RainDance for our opportunity to land a awesome Home! Yes, I said Rain Dance. :)

I can't wait I CAN'T WAIT! I know we still may have a little bit of a journey and learning all the crazy things it takes to be a home owner (you know, if something breaks you fix it!) However it will all be worth it. Adam, Joseph and I will be our own little family (with the dogs of course) and I can't wait to start a Home full of Memories!

Here's to our Journey!  Good Night Y'all!

Oh, Life.

I Do not have a theme for this post, usually I really don't want to update without a theme . However, I just need to kinda talk.
Don't get me wrong, I talk to my husband all the time.. That man is my Best Friend and I'm so glad he is here for me!
I call my mother at least once a day! Why? Because I love her, I'm thankful for her love and support and well, she's my MOM! :)

Any who, we had our doctors appointment today. I found out that I'm O Negative for my blood type, Adam is A Positive! Baby Joseph is just fine, we got to see his cute ears (poor kid has his dads ears) however there are just a few things the doctor wants to keep her eye on. Adam and I are being sent to a specialist in the next town over for some more check ups. I'm honestly probably worried over nothing, but I just want the best for my Son.
After our appointment , Adam went back to work and I grabbed some lunch.
Next I headed over for a little shopping aka- I'm too large for my normal shirts. Haha and well, it's also getting a bit chilly out here and I do not have any jackets that fit or will fit!
I try to buy regular clothes if I can, I may have to go up a size, but maternity clothes are expensive! $$
I do plan on holding on to my maternity clothes after my son is here, not saying we are rushing into our next pregnancy.. But they will come in handy for when we do decide to try again.

We have also been in the Home Buying process! Adam and I went Sunday to look AGAIN at a house that we have looked at multiple times! The previous Owner had a very unique style! And well if this is the house we pick, I will let you come over and try to find the hidden access to the Attic! :)

We have 16 more weeks, 16!! Until baby Webb makes his Debut. I'm over whelmed. Anxious. Excited. Scared. Nervous. Happy... Yeah.. And more. I have already started discussing maternity leave and after the baby schedule with my boss. Theres my baby shower ( were registered on work, prenatal classes, work, thanksgiving, work, christmas, work, Adams Birthday, and well.. Leave. You see, we're entering holiday season.. Its going to fly by!
Jan 2nd is going to be here before you know it!

Alrighty, my nerves have calmed a bit.
Thanks for letting me vent :)

Night Y'all -Nicole

On a Savings Kick.

I was brought to tears today, on my drive home I was thinking about my son.. Who was Kicking me and moving like a champ today! I started thinking about something my Husband told me yesterday.. "Our children won't just have parents to raise them, they're going to have a community to raise them." He is right.
Joseph already has so many people in our life that love him to pieces and are just as excited as Adam and I are to meet him.

For Example, My Husbands Best friend since Diapers has already gotten Joseph some awesome football gear, and just Lights up when we talk about him.
-My Sister in Law is a nursing student, Yesterday she listened to my Belly and heard Joseph moving around, While I was waiting for my shy kid to kick her in the ear (on her stethoscope) lol.
-My other Sister in Law is planning our Baby Shower, We are SO excited to see what kind of fun she comes up with!
-My Mother reminds me all the time of our next appointment! She tells me she's got it written down on the calendar! I really wish that we were still in Texas for this. This is my side of the Families FIRST Grand Baby/Great Grand Baby!
-The girls at Work gave me a big Jar of Pickles when I announced that I'm Pregnant..what Goobs!

There are so so SO many more friends/family and even Co-Workers that are sharing our excitement for this little Pumpkin of mine.. or as my Sister in Law says "Baby Roo" Adam and I are definitely blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.. even if they are all over the USA!

I have been so anxious and nervous and well, stressed recently.
Im trying to wrap my head around EVERYTHING. Honestly, I think it really hit me last Friday.. I saw the reminder on my face-book page that said 17 more weeks! 17? No, I was JUST 12 weeks pregnant, sick to my stomach and crying over a bag of potato chips (true story, Ask Adam lol)
Im having a Baby, Holy Crud..Adam and I are going to be parents! Will we be good at it? Will I disappoint my son? What if something is wrong with the birth or with my son? SOOO many questions running through my head.. I just want a Healthy Baby Boy, 10 fingers, 10 Toes..breathing..beautiful baby boy.
Im terrified.

But, Look at how cute my Husband was as a kid! Im looking forward to seeing if Joseph Looks like him or Myself!

Another big issue of mine is "Are we going to have what we need?"
Adam and I are really weird about people buying us things.. its a beautiful thing, This Gift Giving and don't get me wrong we are VERY much thankful for anything that people offer us.. But Theres a sense of independence that we both share.. Im destined to find the least inexpensive items in the best condition, this way all that I need from my baby shower should be small simple inexpensive stuff.

I have found a wonderful site for people in our area..They post pictures of gently used Baby Items and people make bids on them, Kinda first come first serve Bids. and well, Im HOOKED!
Below are a few AWESOME Items that I have come across!

The Stroller set, was $75.00-Gently used and in AMAZING shape. It is going brand new for almost $200.00!
The Changing Table was $25.00, Adam is sanding and staining this to match our Crib.
The Exersaucer is $40.00 from the same lady I got the Stroller set! New- $80-100.00!

I have also been hitting up the local Thrift store, The money you spend there actually goes towards the Hospital here in town.
They have been running a brown bag special.. You get a Big brown Shopping bag, Fill it up with as many clothes as you can and it's only a Dollar.. yep $1.00! I got 3 bags, the third bag ended up FREE!
Here are SOME of the clothes I managed to find. Oh, I also found a Brand New Crib Liner with Animals on it! WooHoo!
There are a few girl items in here, since this was before I found out Im having a boy.. But I thought, Whats a few Girl Items going to hurt? I didn't even pay over a Dollar for the whole BAG!
I also found at the same thrift store, A Johnny Jumper and a High Chair NEW in Boxes! $15.00!

Last but not the least, we got our crib from Adams Cousin. It is a Dark Cherry Oak Crib.. BEAUTIFUL! I would post a picture of it, But it is not put together. we gave his cousin $75.00 for the crib, when I was looking at the SAME one at Walmart for $150.00!
A regular at my Store in G.I came in with a bag full of shoes and clothes that her son just out grew, that was SO very nice of her!

Now, Im on a mission to find a Rocking chair for the Nursery!
I think Im doing alright so far.. But I still feel like I am so unprepared.

I know this is All first baby nerves..I just want everything to be perfect  :)

Good Night Y'all

Oh Boy!

I would like to say, I'm using the blogger app on my IPad and I'm not digging it much.. So please forgive me while I work with it. :) Thank You.

Monday August 20th Adam and I headed to our doctors appointment. I sat nervously as it felt like hours passing by while we waiting for the doctor to come in..
Boy or girl boy or girl?!

The best part about the sonogram was not finding out that we are having a BOY, but Adam was able to watch his son continuously kick me. "oh, what up dad! Look at me kick!"
Ive got a soccer player on my hands.

My husband lights up every time he starts talking about our son, he wanted to take our sonogram pictures with him to show all of his friends. I'm so excited for our future with this little guy especially because Adam is going to make such a great father!

Joseph is our sons name, and let me tell you he is growing fast! I feel like a blimp with him right now and I'm only 23weeks! Whoa buddy!

I'm glad I'm feeling like my old self again. No more morning sickness, woohoo! Now I've just got an achy back and sore feet if I'm on my feet at work for too long.. Oh yeah, and Hives! What?! Yeah random hives!

As I progress in these weeks I start feeling like I look like a blimp. I wonder if people think I'm pregnant while they stare at me or maybe they are feeling sorry for me because I look like a large cow. (as seen in the picture below.)
Ok, so I may not actually look like a cow, But I seriously feel like it! Blah! Beautiful eh? Lol

I'm slowly progressing into my thrift trimester.. My fatigue is returning and well I was ready for bed at 6 tonight lol. My fur-babies will show how I feel for you in the pictures below as well. Enjoy those fuzzy pups!

Well, I'm off to bed.
Goodnight Y'all
